Free Public Transport in Victoria Xmas + NYE
Public Transport in Victoria will be free Christmas Day and after 6pm on New Years Eve.
According to the site:
On Christmas Day and after 6pm on New Year’s Eve, ticket barriers will be open at stations and you do not need to carry a ticket to travel. However, if you do touch on with your myki, you won’t be charged a fare.
The free V/Line services are popular and bookings are recommended.
